Overview

Connect your coding agent to shipd using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). You need a Pro, Teams, or Enterprise organization and a client supporting Streamable HTTP with browser OAuth authorization. The server endpoint is https://mcp.useshipd.com/mcp.

Add shipd to your client

In Claude Code, run /mcp and authenticate shipd. In Cursor, open the server’s authentication action. Follow the browser sign-in flow. Official client instructions: Codex, Claude Code, Cursor.

Authorize access

Select one organization and choose Read and write or Read only. Read and write is selected by default. Choose all current and future accessible projects, or select individual projects. Click Allow read and write access or Allow read-only access. You may be asked to sign in again before authorizing a connection. The agent acts as you. Your current role, project access, production permissions, quotas, and approval policies apply to every operation. A write connection does not grant permissions your role lacks. Ask your agent:
Pending changes return an approval request and a dashboard review link. Review the exact change in shipd; the agent cannot approve it or change approval policies.

Manage connections

Open Settings → Connected apps to inspect access and revoke a connection. Each connection expires after 30 days without use or 90 days total. Sign in and authorize again after expiry. Related: MCP tools and request guarantees · Access control
