# Enterprise administration

> A map of shipd security, governance, provisioning, and isolation features.

## Overview

Enterprise adds governance features around the same config-as-code and local-evaluation workflow. Availability is controlled by organization entitlements; a page appearing in documentation does not mean it is enabled for every plan or deployment.

| Need | Start here |
| - | - |
| Roles, teams, and production permissions | [Organizations and access control](/enterprise/access-control) |
| Change review | [Review production changes](/operations/approvals) |
| Workforce authentication | [Connect organization single sign-on](/enterprise/sso) |
| Directory provisioning | [Provision members with SCIM](/enterprise/scim) |
| Automation identities and rotation | [Create a service account](/enterprise/service-accounts) |
| Which credential to use where | [SDK keys, management API keys, and service account tokens](/concepts/keys) |
| Compliance history and export | [View the audit log](/operations/audit-log) |
| Limits and metering | [Usage and limits](/reference/usage-and-limits) |
| Contracted placement | [Data isolation tiers](/enterprise/isolation-tiers) |
| Recovery, access, and deletion expectations | [Reliability and data handling](/reference/reliability-and-data) |

Dedicated placement, custom retention, and residency are contract- and deployment-specific. Confirm their active state with support before relying on them for compliance.
